Kearney Area Development Council (KADC) was formed in 1994 to promote economic opportunity and the improvement of the qualify of life in the Kearney area.
In its brief existence, KADC has assisted the City of Kearney in locating Platte-Clay Electric Cooperative's corporate headquarters into Innovation, a newly planned industrial and business community developed by KADC.
Located on Interstate 35, just 25 miles north of downtown Kansas City, Kearney is being discovered by new residents and businesses desiring a small town atmosphere with quick and easy access to such metropolitan amenities as KCI and the Truman Sports Complex.
